Alissa Lauder began her golf career at the age of 5 in Canada. Despite the short golf season in Canada, Alissa's talents were quickly recognized- she was a member of the Manitoba Provincial Jr. Team for 6 years. She was then named to the Canada National Team. Alissa was also the recipient of the Marlene Stewart-Streit Award- an award that recognizes the Top 3 junior golfers in Canada and rewards them with opportunities to play in tournaments in the United States (including the U.S. Junior Championship). As a result of her junior success, Alissa received a golf scholarship to Memphis State University. While at Memphis State, Alissa won the SMU-University of North Texas Golf Tournament. While in college, Alissa majored in Exercise Science. At the end of her schooling, Alissa toured as a golf professional on many tours: the Golden Bear, Gold Coast and Futures Tour.

Upon the birth of her son in 1998, Alissa's golf career detoured from touring professional to teaching professional. Alissa has taught golf at some of the finest clubs in the United States- The Boulders Resort and The Kansas City Country Club to name a few. Her teaching expertise has also enabled her to become a Lead Instructor for Kansas City's First Tee Program. Alissa's latest career change has been her development as a golf personality and regular contributor in the entertainment industry. Alissa has appeared several times on Kansas City's NBC affiliate televised program "The Sports Spot", created and starred in an NBC series called "Golf School", was a Finalist on the Golf Channel's "Big Break VI" and has recently been awarded her own show cleverly named "In The Swing". The new show will focus on all things golf: lessons, fashion, technology, courses and strategy.
