Chris Christensen Scottsdale, AZ
Chris has been a full time instructor with the ESPN Golf Schools since February of 2001, joining the staff during the golf schools tenure running the lesson tee at TPC @ Scottsdale, during which a portion of that time he served as the Director of Instruction. He first began his relationship with the golf schools at the Desert Mountain Golf Club in 1994.
Teaching with the golf schools gave Chris the opportunity to work extensively with perennial top 5 teachers Jim Flick as well as Hank Haney and Mike Malaska, Golf Magazine top 100, as well as many other top teachers.
Teaching at the TPC @ Scottsdale, Chris worked with many students of all abilities conducting Scottsdale City Clinics, private lessons, corporate outings, as well as being the lead instructor at over 600 ESPN Golf Schools at courses around the country since '01: Allowing Chris the opportunity to be hands on with over 1500 students a year from new golfers in beginners schools to advanced players.
Also as part of the ESPN staff Chris has had the chance to see up close the research and development centers at Nike, Callaway and giving him unique insight and knowledge about the relationship between technology and teaching.
From his first experience working with the golf schools in 1994 until going full time with the schools in '01, Chris taught at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and at other clubs in the Phoenix area.
Chris has been a PGA Professional (class A-6, Teaching Professional) in the Phoenix area since 1990 and currently teaches at McCormick Ranch Golf Resort in Scottsdale and can be contacted at www.csquaredgolf.com.
