Tony Bedient Scottsdale, AZ / Carmel, NY
Tony has worked for ESPN Golf Schools since the fall of 2005. Tony's first passion in life was to compete in races across the U.S. on the bicycle. He participated in Jr. National camps at the Olympic Training Center (Colorado Springs, CO) and became a national champion when he was 17. Tony attended the University of Nebraska. While attending school, Tony worked for the Husker football team- one of the nation's elite programs.
At age 22, he searched for an outlet for his competitive drive, and found golf to be the perfect fit. He worked closely with Mike Schuhart (a 2 time teacher of the year, 5 time player of the year) for 4 years in Lincoln, NE. In his second competitive year playing golf, Tony qualified into the 2004 National Public Amateur Championships in Maple Grove, MN (Rush Creek).
Tony's competitive yet patient nature makes him an asset to the ESPN instructional staff. Tony spends the summers on the road in the the northeast teaching the 3-club and beginners tour curriculum.

"This day of golf school was the first day I had away from my newborn in months, and I loved it. The instructors were fabulous. My game improved and my desire to play more increased greatly! Now I just have to find the time. Thank you." Deborah C. Beginners Tour Plymouth, MA |
